The problem
Many informal savings groups still rely on manual coordination through messaging apps, spreadsheets, and personal record keeping. This often leads to missed contributions, poor visibility into group progress, delayed disbursements, and disputes around accountability.

How we solved it
We focused on reducing the operational burden of managing savings groups. The experience was designed around three key journeys: onboarding new members, creating and managing savings groups, and completing contributions through an integrated payment experience. Clear progress tracking, automated reminders, and transparent financial records help users stay informed and engaged throughout the savings cycle.
Outcome
The result is a mobile-first platform that simplifies how groups save together. Users can create groups, invite members, monitor contribution progress, make payments through familiar channels such as M-Pesa, and access financial records from a single, easy-to-use experience.
