Overview
Africa Digital Xchange (ADX) is a digital publishing platform focused on long-form journalism, investigative reporting, and in-depth analysis of Africa's digital, cultural, and economic landscape. The goal was to design a landing experience that introduces stories in a more engaging and digestible way before users commit to reading the full article.
The problem
Long-form stories often struggle to capture attention at first glance. Readers need a quick way to understand the value before investing time in it.
The challenge was to design a landing page that improves engagement, simplifies complex narratives, and encourages users to continue reading.
Research & Insights
Research showed that readers make quick decisions on whether to continue reading based on clarity and perceived value. Breaking content into smaller, digestible sections and using visual storytelling significantly improves engagement and reduces cognitive load.
